Long dyeing time and large amount of wastewater
Many Polyester-Cotton blends are used for apparel industry because of it's good hand and quick water absorbency.
However, it's dyeing process is so long that a lot of water and energy is consumed by repetive water supply and drainage, and temperature control.
The cost from waste water treatment is also huge because amount of waste water from dyeing, soaping and neutralization process is huge.
Improvement of productivity and response to environmental regulations by reducing required processing steps
Increase of production efficiency and correspondence for the environmental regulations are very important task for the mills. However, the aparel fabrics made with conjugated fibers and addition of the process is underway to avoid the quality problem like color fastness. Therefore, it is difficult to balance production efficiency and the mill's profit.
