The seminar hosted by the ZDHC Foundation was held for the first time in Japan on June 7th, and approx. 130 people involved in the textile industry, including major apparel, fiber manufacturers, dyeing mills, participated.

As global environmental and health regulations become more strict, in this seminar, Ms. Lydia Lin, director of ZDHC, presented the basic and the latest information on the ZDHC program, the issues facing the textile industry, and the best way to manage chemical substances.

In the questions and answers session, many questions went into the details of the program, indicating the growing interest in the importance of the role of ZDHC, environmental conservation and chemical suppliers.

In addition, Mr. Yoshishige Sugimoto, a Fukui Testing Center of QTEC, a Japanese ZDHC contributor, introduced the contents of its work and the history of participation in ZDHC.

Furthermore, Mr. Mitsuo Matsuda, general manager of innovation promoting division of NICCA, also a ZDHC contributor, introduced examples of environmental responses that preceded our industry and solution systems that contribute to the environmental protection, health and safety of the textile industry.

As a member of a responsible textile processing supply chain on the same ship, NICCA will continue to actively engage with apparel, retailers, dyeing mills, fiber manufacturers, etc. all over the world. Also we will provide sustainable textile processing agents that achieve environment, health and safety of both consumers and workers.
