What is "Color deepening agent"?

Color deepening agent is applied to dyed polyester fabric to give it deepness or vividness.

By forming fine irregularities with the resin film of low refractive index on the surface of polyester fiber, it reduces the specular reflection of light and diffusely reflects it to produce dark color.

Since disperse dyestuff for polyester dyeing cannot have jet black color or really vivid color due to its characteristics, color deepening finish is favorable from the point of view of production cost.

Mechanism of action

(1) Giving slight roughness on the fabric surface

(2) Making lower refractive index film on the fabric surface

By treating the surface of the fabric with color deepening agent, it reduces the specular reflection of light and diffusely reflects it to produce dark color.

The following methods can be used to produce dark color.
