NICCA group held a “New Technology Seminar” in TAIWAN.

TAIWAN NICCA CHEMICAL CO., LTD. (hereinafter “NTW”) held a "New Technology Seminar" at the International Conference Center in Taipei City on Tuesday, November 6^th, 2018.

Celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, NTW invited about 300 people of customers, public research institutes in Taiwan, apparel brands, etc. to introduce the most advanced technologies of the NICCA group.
We held a memorial lecture by Dr. Lee of the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), and Dr. Hori of Fukui University, and oral presentation and poster session with the theme of "Sustainable" and "Innovation".
In particular, we actively exchanged opinions for the creation of new business regarding “Low COD Scouring agent” with little environmental load of drainage, “New PFC-free Water Repellent”, and “Water-based Polyurethane resin” which does not contain solvent.

■Textile Chemicals
１）Low COD type Scouring agent for Polyurethane blends：Scouring agent with less drainage load that reduced chemical substance emissions to less than 1/2 that of conventional scouring agents.（More details）
２）Reduction Clearing agent for Polyester using Natural raw materials：Eco-friendly biodegradable liquid reduction clearing agent, alternative of Hydrosulfites.
３）Oligomer Eliminating agent：Contributes to reducing rework and improving quality in polyester dyeing.（More details）
４）Dyeing auxiliary for polyester with high migration property: Prevents color unevenness and color deviation in polyester dyeing and contributes to reducing re-process.
５）PFC-free Water Repellent：Provides water repellency comparable to fluorine-based water repellent. Abundant product lineup enables processing according to purpose.（More details）
６）Water-based Polyurethane Resin for Breathable Waterproof：Breathable waterproof resin excellent in moisture control, water pressure resistance and washing durability.
７）Durable Antistatic agent for Polyester：Provides antistatic property with washing durability for woven, knitted, and raised polyester fabrics.

■Future Creation
１）Functional Fluorine Chemicals：Applicable as Soil Guard, Soil Release, and Lubricant.
２）UV curable Polyurethane Acrylate：Resin solidifies instantaneously when UV light is applied. Contributing to shortening the time of coating process.
３）Metal Nano Particles：Technology to control chemical synthesis of 10^-15 size. It is possible to produce and disperse nano metals.
４）Functional Nucleic Acids：Technologies for chemically synthesizing nucleic acids from which genes are derived and using them as test reagents.
５）Nano Diamonds for Transparent Projection Screen ”DiaLumie”：Transparent screen coated with nano diamond on film. Suitable for curved surfaces and large areas.
６）Precision Polymerization Technology：Polymerization technology capable of synthesizing polymers of uniform length.
